So we've been friends for a couple years, we're both in college now and he goes to college in Alabama, I go to school in South Carolina. He's coming to Charleston (where I am) over his spring break because his friend lives here. He asked if he could see me, I said yes, he said promise? When I told him about my sorority's formal in April and he hinted that he'd like to come. And he invited me to go back to his school the next day (in AL) for this huge concert. So we were looking at modes of transportation but it would be complicated, involving trains and trips back and forth, and expensive so I said it wasn't a big deal. But he said he had time to figure it out, and he said it'd be worth it cause he'd get to spend time with me. Then yesterday I found out my sorority was having a party during the week he'd be here for his break and I asked him if he wanted to go, I told him he shouldn't feel obligated though. He said he'd like to go. So we talked about that for a while. Then I was like it'll be fun, and it can replace formal if that doesn't work out, but he said "I can go to both perhaps...if you like." I said thatd be fun if we could work it out, then he said, "I mean, would you want to?" I said yes but we have time to think about it. He didn't reply for a while, then said he was cool with that. Then he told me his birthday was in march as well (the month he's coming here) and I wanted to get him a gift but he was absolutely against it and completely serious...it was weird. so I didnt reply for a while, and he sent me a smiley face. Then we started talking about the superbowl and we were both rooting for the Giants and we had the same reasons, and I was like "we may be twins" and he said "seriously" I said, "for the same reasons I mean" he said "obviously hahahaha" Then he wrote " :) I was like...us being biological siblings would be unfortunate" then we talked briefly after the game. then 3 hours later (1am) he texted me "I can't wait to see you" I waited till this morning and wrote : "Hey-I just got your (drunk?) text- yeah it'll be fun to catch up" he then wrote "I was indeed drunk" then a few minutes later he said "I don't normally text like that so, its quite possible someone messed with my phone." When I asked him what he wanted to see when he came to town, he said anything I want, and “It can be a date!” followed by smiley faces A few things to note: 1)these are all text messages 2)he always includes smiley faces and "hahahaha" even when its not particularly funny 3) whoever wrote that message to me at 1am was not drunk because it had perfect grammer and an apostrophe-and he does not have smart text. 4) he's a natural flirt 5) if he were to escort me to formal, he would be coming all the way to SC just for that (in april) So does he like me?...
